This particular film I don't think is an actual Sherlock Holmes book but it is Sherlock Holmes none the less. I can't remember if I have read any of the books I think I might have for my English class which was over 10 years ago now.

I have now watched both the Sherlock films by Guy Ritchie and I do love them but this time round it just wasn't as good as the first. I was lost for most of the film as it is what Sherlock is planning first and then it will go into near enough the same action it just was too confusing. It was probably like that in the first one as well but it just worked better than it did this time.

Although there was a lot of dark things happening it was still able to keep the film light hearted with the humour. I was laughing more often than not which I love it when a film can make you feel more than one emotion as there was times where it was really sad as well. There was always something going on which if it wasn't for all the action and humour I would have probably wanted to turn it off.

I love the characters and the partnership between Holmes and Watson was brilliant definitely one of the best cast films as I think everything that does work is because of the interaction between these two characters.

Overall I was a little disappointed as it just wasn't as good as the first one but still a good film that you probably need to watch more than once so that you can actually understand the goings on.
