Synopsis:
Hockey star Alexander Crossman has a reputation as a cold-hearted player on and off the rink. Pushed into the sport by an alcoholic father, Alex isn't afraid to give fans the proverbial middle finger, relishing his role as the MVP they love to hate. Management, however, isn't so amused. Now Alex has a choice: fix his public image through community service or ride the bench. But Alex refuses to be molded into the Carolina Cold Fury poster boy . . . not even by a tempting redhead with killer curves. As a social worker, Sutton Price is accustomed to difficult people--like Alex, who's been assigned to help her create a drug-abuse awareness program for at-risk youth as part of the team's effort to clean up his image. What she doesn't expect is the arrogant smirk from his perfect lips to stir her most heated fantasies. But Sutton isn't one to cross professional boundaries--and besides, Alex doesn't do relationships . . . or does he? The more she sees behind Alex's bad-boy façade, the more Sutton craves the man she uncovers."

I was given a review copy of this book via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I do love the look of this model..I mean cover ;) I can definitely see him as Alex as that's how he is described in the book. I love the sepia tone to the cover as it makes a change of either too bright or black and white which I like as well but the tone works for this cover as well as the book.

As soon as I started this book I knew I was going to be hooked and I wasn't wrong as throughout the book I just needed to know what was going to happen next. This will be my third book by Sawyer Bennett and the third that I loved I think this may even be my favourite of the bunch as well as being up there with my favourite book of the year so far. I loved every minute of this book because not only was the chemistry between the two main characters smoking hot it also brought up some difficult issues which I felt where done brilliantly. The interaction between Sutton and Alex sizzled from the very beginning but not only that but they also brought out the best in one another and the banter that they had had me laughing out loud at times. I would have to say the last few chapters where one of my favourites ever especially the part that used inspiration from Love Actually which I adored as what was used was also my favourite part of the film so I was swooning a LOT. It may have been cheesy but I didn't care what so ever as it was so sweet and romantic that I couldn't bring myself to care I just loved it. I absolutely adored this book and now I can't wait to read Garrett's book I just hope it live's up to this book.

I liked that this book had the two main characters that had a similar childhood yet they both turned out completely different. I really liked Sutton as she didn't have the best of starts in her life but she made up for that in the way in which she helps others. She was such a sweet person I especially loved her relationship with her family. The way Alex was portrayed at the beginning you would think that I wouldn't like him but in the end I loved him especially the softer side that Sutton brought out in him. I did love some of the side characters especially Garrett as he brought some much needed light relief and I'm so glad that his books next. I also loved Sutton's little brother as he was so endearing.

Overall another hit for Sawyer Bennett as I for one loved every minute of this book and I can't wait to read more from her.
