Synopsis:
Worlds divided them. Chance brought them together. Only love will save them.
An alien princess exiled to Earth. An arrogant boy. One week to get back to her planet or she'll die. And, her only chance for survival? She must help the boy find his soul mate. Piece of cake!

Stubborn, sixteen-year-old Princess Venus of Kelari wants one thing, to become immortal, that is, until someone exiles her to Earth, kills her irrihunter and takes her family.
Now she wants revenge.
First she’s got to get home. But before she can return to Kelari, the Gods have commanded her to help an arrogant boy named Michael find his soul mate.
Only she doesn't know the first thing about love.
Rather quickly, her inexperience with human emotion is obscured by other matters--alien-controlled psychotic teens that are out to kill her, and a government group that is set on capturing and dissecting her.
Worst of all, Venus will suffer a painful death-by-poisoning, thanks to Earth’s atmosphere, if she remains on the planet longer than one week.
Still, Venus is a Princess and she's got a plan. Surely, with her help, Michael will fall in love with a human.
But time is running out and Michael is falling for the wrong girl--her.

I bought this book when it was free on Amazon UK back when I got my first ever kindle but now I wished I put it off a bit longer but I'm glad it was a freebie!

The cover is stunning it is pretty much the same as this image that I found on Goodreads but it didn't have the actual cover that mine has, but this one is better than mine. I love everything about this cover from the use of colours to the butterflies to the shining light effect, overall it gives it another world feel which is in keeping with the story.

I haven't read many alien books apart from Jennifer L. Armentrout's series which I adored so I was hoping that this would be another alien book that I would love but I couldn't be more wrong. For some reason I couldn't get into this book as I just couldn't follow it, plus I was easily distracted while I was supposed to be reading it. There was a lot of times when I just wanted to stop reading it and I would've done if I hadn't needed it for a challenge that I was taking part in. Things did happen and then I would be thinking here we go it's going to get better now but it never really did until the last few chapters. In paranormal books that I read and love they seem real yet with this book nothing seemed real it was just too far fetched and unbelievable. I felt the romance side of the story was far to unbelievable and her feelings for another character came out of the blue the same with the guy she started to like his feelings also came out of know where. I did kind of like the ending as it did make me want to read the next book although I won't be in a rush for it but the last page did end a bit abruptly to the point I thought I had missed something.

There wasn't many characters that I liked in this book which would probably be the reason why I couldn't get into the book. Venus was an annoying character that didn't feel realistic as there was no real depth to her character. I didn't like Michael as he was just as annoying as Venus plus he just seemed too angry all the time and yes I understand why he would feel that way but I didn't get why Venus would start to like him especially after what he did to her for me it was unforgivable. Zaren was my favourite character in this book as he seemed to have more depth to his character but there was times I didn't understand what was going on with him.

Overall I was very disappointed with this book and if it wasn't for near the end of the story I wouldn't bother with the rest of the series even now I'm not 100% sure if I will continue on with it even if I do want to know what happens in the end.
