Synopsis:
Kalliope lives with one purpose. To inspire. As an immortal muse, she doesn’t have any other choice. It’s part of how she was made. Musicians, artists, actors—they use her to advance their art, and she uses them to survive. She moves from one artist to the next, never staying long enough to get attached. But all she wants is a different life— a normal one. She’s spent thousands of years living lie after lie, and now she’s ready for something real. Sweet, sexy, and steady, Wilder Bell feels more real than anything else in her long existence. And most importantly… he’s not an artist. He doesn’t want her for her ability. But she can’t turn off the way she influences people, not even to save a man she might love. Because in small doses, she can help make something beautiful, but her ability has just as much capacity to destroy as it does to create. The longer she stays, the more obsessed Wilder will become. It’s happened before, and it never turns out well for the mortal. Her presence may inspire genius. But it breeds madness, too. INSPIRE is the first book in The Muse series and is intended for readers 18+!

I have wanted to read this book from the moment that I knew Cora was going to be doing a new book it just took me a little longer to get to it than I would've wanted to and now that I've read it sooner as it was a great read.

I love this cover and the main reason why I love it so much is that gorgeous dress.

A different paranormal read than I'm used to as I've never read about muses before so it was a refreshing change plus it was good so that's always a plus. It took me a little while to get into this book as there was a lot of world/character building which was needed but it just made it a little slow. I started to really get into the book once Wilder came on the scene as I loved Kalli and Wilder's chemistry as you could tell how they felt for one another straight away. I didn't like the way in which Kalli treated Wilder at times as it felt a little heartless but I did understand where she was coming from. What really made me enjoy this book was the alternating points of views because then I was able to understand where both of the characters where coming from. The cliff hanger was huge! I really can't wait to find out what happens after that.

I don't think there was one character that I hated as all characters had times to shine. Kalli was maybe my least favourite character just because of the way she treated Wilder but apart from that she was good character. Wilder has to be my favourite character in this book as he was just a good guy it was even hard to see him as a bad boy in the past as he was too sweet in the present but maybe Kalli brought out the best in him.

Overall, this is my third book of Cora Carmacks novels and I would say this one is my least favourite but that's only because the books that I have read includes Losing It which I adored. I do feel like the next books will be amazing though as we have got all the world/character building out of the way so now the action can really begin.
