Synopsis:
Sometimes you just have to take flight.
A summer in New Orleans is exactly what Allie needs before starting college. Accepting her dad’s invitation to work at his hotel offers an escape from her ex-boyfriend and the chance to spend the summer with her best friend. Meeting a guy is the last thing on her mind—until she sees Levi.
Unable to resist the infuriating yet alluring Levi, Allie finds herself at the center of a supernatural society and forced to decide between following the path she has always trusted or saving a city that might just save her.

“I’d sworn off men, or really boys, because those were the only type of males I tended to attract.”

This book has been waiting on my kindle for just under a year now and finally I got around to reading it I just wish I loved it as much as I thought I was going to.

I'm not a huge fan of this cover the only thing I kind of like is the colour and mystical feel to it. What I really don't like is the male model as he is not how I would picture Levi, this model looks too young and a bit too lanky for Levi.

Flight for me was a bit hit and miss as there was parts that I loved but there was parts that I just didn't like but I do feel like this series could get better as they go on as Flight improved throughout the book. The beginning felt a bit off as there was just nothing happening and there was a lot more trust between the paranormal and the human that I am not used too. Usually it takes a while for us to find out what the paranormal is but we found out pretty much straight away which I just didn't find believable. Towards the end a lot more action in the book which I liked I just wish it wasn't just at the end because then this would have been so much more interesting. For once I didn't like the romance side of the story but that is only because it felt forced and also one minute she was saying on and then the next minute they where together which I felt came out of the blue. I do feel like it ended well as it has made me want to find out what happens next but no huge cliffhanger which is always a bonus in my eyes.

I'm not a huge fan of any of the characters but some where more likeable than others. I kind of liked Allie as she wasn't as whiny as some other female lead characters which was a refreshing change. I also liked that she didn't give in easily which was also a nice change. I'm not too sure about Levi as there was times when I liked him as he was funny but there was a lot of times when I couldn't stand him especially after finding out what he did to Allie and then blamed her when something happened to her when in fact it was his fault.

Overall I liked this book I just didn't love it but I will continue with the series as I really need to know how everything will play out next.

"You're so beautiful. So unbelievably beautiful..." he trailed off as his lips met mine. The kiss started off gentle but neither of us could keep it that way for long. It might have been our second kiss, but it was our first real one.
